Every day is different when it comes to having a baby. The sleep patterns change, the expressions, the personality developments.
I’m trying to just let go this idea that there should be this constant, clear pattern in how my little one operates.
I ended up not making that bird mobile. I made the BIRDS, as you saw, but didn’t get to the building part.
I did, however, end up buying a mobile that I think is pretty awesome.
It also reminds me of my grandmother, Grammy. She loved owls. I take comfort in believing she’s watching over my little one as she sleeps.
My crafting idea has evolved a bit over the last week or so. I can’t share the details just yet because I want to perfect it first…but a little seed has sprouted in my brain and we’ll see where I can take it.
So this is what I have for breakfast at least 5 days a week. It totally looks gross. My husband thinks I’m INSANE to eat it. BUT….it’s quite yummy and cozy and fills me up until lunch time, for the most part.
What’s that?? You want to know what’s in it because it looks so darn delectable? Okay. I’ll share:
- 1/2 a banana, cut it half length-wise and then sliced up
- 2 prunes, chopped up
- small handful of walnuts, chopped up. I also use almonds sometimes.
- a heaping tablespoon of flax meal
- a quick squirt-around of light agave nectar
- a splash of milk or 1/2 and 1/2
