I might have to read this one. I just got done reading “Last Child in the Woods” and in it the author spoke a lot about how everyone is so afraid to let their children play outside so kids just sit in front of the tv or the computer or their video game system and miss out completely on any experiences with nature. (scary). I’m trying to be more mindful of how protective I am and learn to let go a little but it is hard – I am a natural worrier! I roamed the neighborhood from sun up to sun down when I was a kids and I survived, right? 🙂
I guess I need to just stock up on band-aids – hey, I think I need a little take along pouch for those! 😉 , take a deep breath, and let me little birds fly a little.
I think you would really appreciate this book then… Seriously, it has been SUCH a good read and has put me in a different frame of mind when it comes to how to handle my baby growing up and exploring her independence. 🙂
